CBS “60 Minutes” Segment to Profile Lynn Snyder Mackler's Husband Scott Mackler Regarding Brain Communication Interface Technology for ALS

Scott Be sure to catch CBS' "60 Minutes" tonight for a profile Dr. Scott Mackler regarding the use of brain communication interface technology for ALS. If you miss it, you should be able to catch it here afterwards.

Many physical therapists are familiar with Scott's story because he is married to Dr. Lynn Snyder-Mackler, Professor of Physical Therapy in the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Delaware. Here is a great story from 2005 in the Philadelphia Weekly if you're not familiar.

Scott is a world-renowned researcher in the area of cocaine addiction on faculty at the University of Pennsylvania (Lynn is not exactly a shabby researcher in her own right!...:)).

Lynn, you don't need to hear this from us because you already know it, but you and Scott have touched thousands of lives doing everything from raising money for ALS research to passing along a living example that anything is possible for those willing to try. You are both an inspiration to us all. Btw, I really enjoyed our discussion at the JOSPT meeting on Saturday night. You didn't disappoint based on your reputation as a "fighter" (inside joke for the other editorial board members who were also there, then abandoned me for a 3-hour "discussion" with Lynn on everything from education to politics to religion...sheer exhaustion by the end)! Lynn, you are a fantastic debater. Perhaps you'd consider joining the McCain ticket at the final hour to replace Palin?:)

Dianne, thanks for letting us know about the story.

John
