Freudian Physical Therapy???
Although I am almost certain this article is a spoof, could it be for real? I will confess to having been fooled. Whatever the case, surely this represents everything that EBP is not. Perhaps one of our readers would like to do some detective work and figure whether this was actually printed in PT Bulletin Online. It's a funny story regardless. I may have to become a regular reader of The Onion, the self-proclaimed 'America's Finest News Source'.
Dreams anyone?
John

The first thing I say to myself when I see something like this is, "I hope this is not a Pitt grad."
Here is a question for the group: What codes do you use for such "interventions" and how in the world do you consider this PT?

John... umm, by any chance did you happen to see the little ad to the right of that "news" report? You could vote on the best print on the man-thong. You know how there are all those weekly magazines as you check out of the grocery store? That site you are citing I would tend to believe is kind of along the lines of the weekly magazines. You open them up to see what Pitt is up to (A different Pitt than what Delitto is mentioning) or if Spears is going to go back to her husband... just something for fun that technically you shouldn't believe. Or you sometimes can believe what is read because we all have some delusional fantasies...
I'd presume most of us here DO get the PT Bulletin Online and we would have seen that article first hand. Which means we wouldn't need "Onion" to alert us to a Freudian practicing PT. I couldn't figure out if the name of the PT - Cal Eddards was a play on words or something. Nothing was coming to my mind though.

The article is obviously a spoof as the website has other tasteless and somewhat politically charged articles and headlines.
Here's an example:
http://www.theonion.com/content/node/44684
Another eye-catching picture on the website is a photo of a blown up building with a colorful helium filled balloon proclaiming "BANG" and the headline? "Suicide bomber reacts poorly to surprise birthday party".
There's even a picture of a guy lying in an intensive care bed on a ventilator and the headline says "Surviving miner ordered back to work"!

Of course it's a spoof, and a complete joke.
This is a hysterical website. You can't get much better than the Onion for biting sarcasm, I've been a regular reader for years.
But then again, I like tasteless and politically charged humor.

It should be a source of professional pride to be spoofed by 'The Onion.'
I have shared this with a colleague and he certainly was shocked... until seeing the web site.
Great post and great way to lighten up a crispy day here on the east coast!
