open-kinetic chain vs., and/or closed-kinetic chain

Gang,

Well, just when we think we begin to understand the universe...the universe proves elusive. Here is an interesting article that reviews recent biomechanical studies of strain on ACL grafts with OKC and CKC exercises, which suggest little or no difference in strain between the two categories of exercise. Both are effective tools for rehabilitation. So much for 20+ years of orthopaedic angst about how we rehab ACLs...
